Under the train station outside Yankee Stadium, NYCFC fans show off the grit that is New York City. Thanks to the train tracks right above the street, chants echo off the metal beams and the smoke from the flares hangs in the air as thousands make their way to the stadium. Even in broad daylight, the smoke-filled air that follows the supporters during the march creates this ominous darkness that sets the stage for what’s about to happen.

“That feeling of live soccer; that’s what I’m chasing,” explained Amanda. “There’s something so special about supporting our men’s and women’s players on the road.”
